What’s up everyone! This continues to be one of the weirdest and wildest NFL seasons thus far. It seemed like nothing is figured out after the first six weeks.
Is there an explanation for the Browns tying in first place with all the AFC North teams above .500? The Bears also might be in full form again but remember that Caleb Williams is still under the Madden curse. Speaking of curses, it’s a “Hard Knocks” life for Seattle. It’s best for future teams to say no to it. The NFC West seems to be in the form of Red and Gold now after Rams upset loss to Arizona. Houston won two straight games after a win over Jacksonville and may be gaining traction. The Tennessee Titans finally won a game while the Chargers are still woefully winless. The Raiders lost three straight after a 3-0 start while the Eagles lost 4 straight after a 2-0 start. I…still can’t figure out the NFC South. At this point, I’m done listening to who’s good and who’s bad. The NFC South…is still the NFC South. As for Buffalo, it seems criminal that they got this far winning while allowing 30-plus points 4 times this season? The math somehow ain’t mathing unless you’re Buffalo’s defense. With all that smoke still lingering, the Chiefs, the Vikings, and the 49ers remain undefeated still traversing through their schedule after the first six weeks.
TEAMS CONSIDERED
15) CAROLINA PANTHERS (3-2)
14) PITTSBURGH STEELERS (4-2)
13) BALTIMORE RAVENS (4-2)
12) CHICAGO BEARS (4-2)
11) CINCINNATI BENGALS (3-2)
10) CLEVELAND BROWNS (4-2)

The Browns jump right back into first place (tied with Pittsburgh) after defeating the Ravens, and Deshaun Watson is the clutch man. The things he does may be the reason why coach Dabo Swinney’s important quote still sticks. Passing up on Deshaun Watson is like passing up on Michael Jordan. Watson continues to clutch when the games on the line, but let’s see if it triumphs over the Browns being the Browns.
9) GREEN BAY PACKERS (4-2)

Sunday Night Football was anything but entertaining, but seeing what the Packers did to Dallas justifies that Dallas doesn’t deserve primetime slots until we ALL know they’re legit. Defense continues putting on a great performance against Dak Prescott and company, even without Micah Parson’s presence involved.
8) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (4-2)

The Patriots cooked the first half but allowed the Jets back in during the second half. It took a lot for the defense to shut down New York in the end, including forcing Geno Smith into his first interception of the season (Wait. Really!!!???). They’re keeping pace with the Bills hoping to sweep them later on this season.
7) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (3-3)

Seattle struggled their way through three quarters. They eventually found a way down field thanks to bad play calls by Sean Payton, and big plays made by Seattle down the stretch with their three trusty receivers. A touchdown, a wild two-point conversion, and a game-tying field goal forced overtime. Unfortunately, two of Sam Darnold’s interceptions hurt their winning opportunity and lost the game. Seattle’s 1-3 since Darnold’s return. The team’s really reeling without Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.
6) JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (4-2)

If it weren’t for some of the key mistakes and errors, the Jaguars could’ve swept the London series. Unfortunately, Houston ramped up the pressure leading to Trevor Lawrence’s undoing. The defense struggled to stop CJ Stroud once he found his form with options and ample protection. The Jags are still a good team that just needs to clean things up. At least Travis Hunter’s showing out in a big way on both sides.
5) DENVER BRONCOS (4-2)

Denver’s defense held strong like heck to get the win. Two big turnovers in the 4th quarter and overtime helped them survive. However, there’s so many issues with playcalling on offense, and Bo Nix hasn’t played his best game thus far this season. But the Broncos found a way to defeat the defending champ Seahawks. Could they have had a chance to defeat them if they made the Super Bowl with a healthy Bo? The world may never know.
4) BUFFALO BILLS (5-1)

Buffalo might be 5-1 but allowing 30 points in 4 games and still going 4-0 this season is a bit maddening. They were 4-1 last season when their defense allowed 30-plus points last season. They were also prone to turnovers, but they finally kept it clean against Vegas. They almost gave away the lead but are fortunate enough to avoid it. The Bills are a volatile team, but having Josh Allen on your side still goes a very long way.
3) MINNESOTA VIKINGS (5-0)

BYE
2) KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (5-0)

The rest of the NFL should really take notice to Kenneth Walker. He’s a problem and no one has stopped him thus far. He carried for 128 yards for two touchdowns against the woeful Chargers. Patrick Mahomes worked with Xavier Worthy and two tight ends to get over 250 yards passing. Nick Bolton, Drue Tranquil, George Karlaftis, and L’Jarius Sneed amongst others did a great job on defense for making a nightmare out of Justin Herbert and the offense as a whole.
1) SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (6-0)

San Fran was clinical early with Brock Purdy hitting his throws, Christian McCaffrey and Kaelon Black finding holes on defense, and Mike Evans carving through Washington’s secondary with ease. But things went south real fast, real quick after Mike Evans didn’t return for the second half due to his Achilles injury. San Fran scored only a field goal since and never engineered another scoring drive. Washington clawed back, but it wasn’t enough with the overwhelming angry rush that stopped them short on the last possession. The Niners won ugly and are still undefeated.
