For a few key matchups with so much on the line, it worked out pretty well. For some games, it didn’t go too well, but it still helped some teams claim their spots (including Carolina lol). It was nice to watch that wacky NFC South scenario work out perfectly. For players like Myles Garrett and Justin Jefferson, they hit their milestones at the right time thanks to an additional week of football. Even the Raiders defeated the Chiefs while claiming the 1st overall draft pick thanks to the Giants wanting to win games.
The compiled NFL regular season is finally over (Thank God!!!). Now, I can actually rest and prep for the postseason with only 4 games to watch and hoping for something from my Niners. The run to the Super Bowl will be fairly different without the Chiefs, but it’s something we all hoped for. If other scenarios work out, we might even have a completely different Super Bowl matchup. I kinda have an idea who might make their way there, but I’m not blabbing it out just yet. I don’t know how I’ll announce my picks, but we’ll see if it’ll be on one of my upcoming posts. Good luck to your postseason teams out there, and with all due respect as a footbal fan…F*** the Seahawks!!! 😤
TEAMS CONSIDERED
15) MINNESOTA VIKINGS (9-8)
14) GREEN BAY PACKERS (9-7-1)
13) BALTIMORE RAVENS (8-9)
12) PITTSBURGH STEELERS (10-7)
11) LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (11-6)
HONORARY MENTION
ATLANTA FALCONS

For ending this season on a strong note and completing what had to be the funniest and most bizarre NFC South division scenario ever. Atlanta’s win clinches the division for the Panthers and first postseason appearance since Cam Newton’s 2017 Panthers. I got a laugh out of it, but I’m glad it worked perfectly. The Bucs win, the Falcons win, and the Panthers go to the postseason. Everyone’s happy…except Bucs fans🤷🏾.
10) BUFFALO BILLS (12-5)

Buffalo might have said their one last goodbye in their stadium after grounding the Jets. Now, they enter the playoffs with more questions than answers. This was their year at first especially with the Chiefs eliminated. Now they’re road tripping wherever their matchup takes them and must hope they find their way to the Promise Land.
9) CHICAGO BEARS (11-6)

Chicago struggled before fighting back and tying with Detroit. Unfortunately, they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities during the tie. They played their starters in a loss, which was unfortunate. Now, they enter the postseason as the 2 seed on a 2-game losing streak in hopes of ending it to go on a surprising run to the Super Bowl.
8) SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (12-5)

The 49ers surprisingly had plenty to show on defense. Unfortunately, their offense couldn’t replicate Week 17’s production against the Seahawks defense. They were shut down, bogged down, and prevented from a touchdown. A couple of key offensive injuries were the reason for their poor production. Hopefully, Trent Williams and Ricky Pearsall return in time for what will be the toughest “road” ahead in the playoffs.
7) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (11-6)

Philly’s backups stayed competitive with the Commanders but didn’t come away with the win. They hold the 3 seed and will host the 49ers next week. They’re expected to repeat for a Super Bowl return, but let’s just say things might get complicated if Philly continues playing inconsistently on offense.
6) HOUSTON TEXANS (12-5)

Doesn’t matter if it was starters or backups, Houston pulled away from the Colts, who ended their season with 7-straight losses and 8 losses in the last 9 games (one of the worst collapses in NFL History). Houston clinched the 5 seed and could be a dark horse for the Super Bowl.
5) JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (13-4)

Jacksonville puts a stranglehold on Tennessee and locks up the 3 seed. This was a very surprising year for Jacksonville after the past few seasons of disappointment. They look like another dark horse Super Bowl team as long as Trevor Lawrence takes care of the ball and their defense continues making an impact against opposing offenses.
4) LOS ANGELES RAMS (12-5)

The Rams lock up the 5 seed after a fairly tough, but still simple win against Arizona. They end their 2-game losing streak and will see if Davante Adams will return in time. The Rams have a rematch with the Panthers back in Carolina. Avenging that loss jumpstarts their run to the Super Bowl.
3) DENVER BRONCOS (14-3)

Denver walks their way to an overall seed in the AFC with little resistance against the Chargers. Disappointing that this couldn’t have been one of those epic matchups to decide the division. Denver gets a nice two-week break and could have a potential chance of their first Super Bowl appearance since Peyton Manning’s last season with the team.
2) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (14-3)

The Patriots fillet the Dolphins and send the packing before the playoffs. New England locks up the 2 seed and could have an interesting road in the Mike Vrabel era. Since he knows how to get to and win championships, they could be a huge problem for every opposing AFC team known to man. Look out for the boys in red, white, and blue to figure their way in to February.
1) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (14-3)

I’m gonna type while avoid gnashing my teeth in frustration (Niner fan in shambles). Seattle was the better team from the jump with their ground game controlling the field and their defense locked down Brock Purdy and CMC. Everything else went their way to lock up the #1 seed. Now, they await their opponent, and it would be surprising to see San Fran in the divisional round depending on wild card results.
