BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

College football wasn’t that great this weekend, but holy crap the NFL this weekend…suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. If you’re favorite team won this weekend, kudos to you. You survived. If you’re favorite team lost (i.e. Me), it was a horrible enduring weekend. If you also want to count how awful officiating was, you probably know by now the Zebras needs more accountability. And what about them nasty leg and ankle injuries taking out players for the season (NOT CAM SKATTEBO TOO!!!! 😭). I could go into a tangent about the NFL making billions but them protecting the refs before the players, and basically not caring who else gets hurt, fined, or whatnot, BUT that’s not what I’m here for and I don’t wanna be a downer worse than this bad weekend of football. I might explain a bit in my upcoming podcast (link is on my main website, which will eventually be updated).

Lastly, Rest in Peace to Nick Mangold. When I saw the ESPN breaking news ticker during NFL Countdown, I was shocked and took a moment to think about it. I remembered him from when he played for the Jets when that team had one of the best offensive lines with personalities during Rex Ryan’s era. I thought Mangold was one of the best centers and O-Lines in football. I also learned from last year that he was from Ohio State when good friend AJ Hawk was there. I will miss that handsome man with a sweet, flocking hair and nice beard too. He was overall and awesome dude🙏🏾

TEAMS CONSIDERED

15) HOUSTON TEXANS (3-4)

14) PITTSBURGH STEELERS (4-3)

13) CHICAGO BEARS (4-3)

12) LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (5-3)

11) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (6-2)

10) KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (5-3)

Looks like the Chiefs are the Chiefs again. With their top two receivers like Rashee Rice (suspension) and Xavier Worthy (injury) more present on the field, K.C. could go on a run back to the playoffs and maybe more. Patrick Mahomes added in his running ability a bit more to make it even more complicated for opposing defenses. There’s also a good chance they stick around my Top 10 along with my Top 6 interchangeable teams.

9) DENVER BRONCOS (6-2)

After a miraculous comeback against the Giants last week, Denver followed up with some dominance against Dallas. Defense played really well pressuring and complicating Dak Prescott’s passing game. They forced two interceptions while Bo Nix put in a four-touchdown day along with RJ Harvey running for two more and catching another while JK Dobbins ran for over 100 yards.

8) BUFFALO BILLS (5-2)

Buffalo clobbered Carolina and ended their hot run. Josh Allen didn’t have a great game, but he let James “Cook” for 216 rushing yards and score two touchdowns out of it. Buffalo needed a bye and looked much better coming out of it. How will the defense look without Ed Oliver moving forward???

7) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (6-2)

Cleveland had a huge game…on the defensive side with Myles Garrett sacking Drake Maye a personal best five times. In the middle of the whole thing, New England eventually took control and dominated the Browns. Maye’s surviving the amount of hits taken and still took down Cleveland’s defense for three passing touchdowns. Don’t know how this kid does it each week and still plays upright.

6) GREEN BAY PACKERS (5-1-1)

Packers got off to a quick start before slowing due to Pittsburgh’s momentum. After halftime, defense took over and Jordan Love was hot on the arm for 20 straight completions. They played the long ball to wear down the old Pittsburgh defense. Maybe Green Bay has something for the long term run in this 2025-2026 season.

5) TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (6-2)

Tampa virtually dominated the Saints. There was nothing that could be done by that offense because of how lethal Tampa’s defense was that game. Anthony Nelson played basketball with a rebounding interception leading to a cakewalking Pick-6. Antoine Winfield Jr. was all over the ball and could’ve had every other turnover. Unfortunately, at least one was called back, including his own touchdown return opportunity. Despite that, Tampa goes 2-0 in their division.

4) LOS ANGELES RAMS (5-2)

BYE

3) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (5-2)

BYE

2) DETROIT LIONS (5-2)

BYE

1) INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (7-1)

Indy’s looking more and more dangerous with a lethal backfield in Danny Dimes and Jonathan Taylor. However, the organization NOW knows this team is run by Taylor and thank goodness they paid him to stay. He torched the Titans for three total touchdowns (2 rush, 1 receiving). Indy continues dominating the schedule and sweeping Tennessee in their division.
