We’re a third of the way through the season and this has been the most entertaining NFL season to watch in a long while. We have no dominant teams in the first six weeks, and that’s fine. Maybe not everyone, but we have some great football for the best and worst teams competing all the same. Saints fans must be a little bit happy despite their losses, cap situation, and roster situation. Steelers might finally be out of purgatory with the addition of Aaron Rodgers. Colts adding Danny Dimes turned Indianapolis into a strong contender. Liam Coen may have changed the way the Jaguars are competing in all four quarters every game thus far. Baker Mayfield and Tampa are finally winning close games after coming up short the first two seasons. There’s plenty more to go through, but man this is a great year to watch the NFL. However, these injuries are so damn ridiculous, but none more than the Bucs, the 49ers, and the Ravens if you’re fans of them. Anyway, here’s where we are with each division after Week 6 of NFL Football.

AFC SOUTH

For what was supposed to be one of the weakest divisions in the conference and the league…is actually good and competitive this season. The Colts look like AFC South contenders. Will they finally make me believe and not choke down the stretch again? Jacksonville could have a say too but must find offensive consistency. However, the Jaguars are Indy’s bugaboo, and they will see them eventually. Houston needs help on the offensive line. That’s the only way for them to compete for the AFC South title once again. The Titans definitely have Cam Ward for the future, but now they must build around him with a new coach amongst other things on the “way too early” list.
AFC NORTH

Pittsburgh’s sitting pretty while the rest are either desperate to stay up with them or are burning down their city and calling it a season after just one-third of their schedule. The Bengals may already have a curtain call after losing Joe Burrow. There’s no telling where they go from there. Most importantly, who will be let go or moved. The Browns…are still the Browns, but vague news mentioned Deshaun Watson’s chance of starting in a month or so. Baltimore might be on life support even if Lamar Jackson returns. They might be in the same situation as the Cowboys.
AFC EAST

The Bills are now battling the Patriots for the AFC East division title. It’s been a while since Tom Brady departed for Tampa. Having Mike Vrabel back in coach form with Drake Maye as the future doesn’t bode well for Buffalo if they can’t get their roster and cap together. Meanwhile, the Jets and Dolphins are going through some stuff right now. The Jets are likely F’d before anything can get going per usual. Miami must do some soul-…nope, it’s not the right time. Both of those teams could likely do a fire sale in the next few weeks or by the end of this season.
AFC WEST

The Chargers had early advantage in their division to only drop two games outside of it and give teams like the Broncos and the Chiefs a chance. LA holds a 3-0 divisional record, but the second round of that bout could become more difficult. The Chiefs regain some of their players and look a bit more like themselves. Denver might be a problem as far as watching them goes. Some of their games have been boring, cringy, and disappointing. Even though their defense is elite, where are we going with this Sean Payton!!!??? We’re not sure what’ll happen with Vegas, but we know for sure that Geno Smith will either help or hurt their situation.

NFC SOUTH

It’s looking a lot like Tampa Bay taking the division once again, but let’s not count out the Falcons just yet. The Buccaneers look like Super Bowl contenders, but injuries and lack of reliance on defense could become an issue deep in the season. Atlanta’s threatening the Bucs division title streak, and the young guns on offense are looking more dangerous each week. Carolina is competing and the Saints are giving opponents some difficulty. We know New Orleans won’t go anywhere, but can Carolina make a sneaky run for a seventh seed???
NFC NORTH

Who is dominant in that division that was supposed to be dominant overall? Wasn’t it supposed to be the Vikings or Packers? Where are we with the Bears? It might be Detroit, but they’re suffering through injuries once again. Nothing’s clear on who will even take control of this division, but it makes it for an exciting ending for all parties involved.
NFC EAST

This is probably the most parodied division in the NFL. The Eagles ain’t looking so great for a 4-2 team. If they don’t find a way to get along, the whole city will burn. Dallas can score, but so can their opponents. It’s comedy to the NFL world thanks to Jerry Jones’s decisions. Everything he says either upsets or confuses the fans. Hope his butt is saved like the Mavericks’ office. Otherwise, keep them coming! Could Washington come out on top in their division? We’re not sure. I don’t want to say the word “fluke”, and the division’s wide open after all. Can the Giants gain some ground with a rookie quarterback and rookie running back that’s gaining immediate attention? It all depends on durability from both, but at least the Giants are entertaining to watch.
NFC WEST

The division is in a three-way tie between the injury-riddled 4-2 49ers, the legit road warrior-minded Seahawks, and the good, yet inconsistent Rams. The 49ers are really trying to hold on with many band-aids, but it might be more difficult to keep things together after Fred Warner’s gruesome season-ending injury😢. The Rams will compete for the playoffs, but they’re lacking offensive consistency, and that’s an issue. Seattle could have the best chance at taking the division. However, their problem is winning at home this season (very odd). The Kyler Murray conversation’s back, and it’s not good. Changes might be coming in Arizona…for everyone.
Here’s What the Playoffs Would Look Like If the Season Ended This Week.
