Fumbles, a safety????😭 Pick 6’s, blocked field goals with some returned for touchdowns, kick and punt return touchdowns, Carolina clobbering “Hotlanta”, Danny Dimes on his redemption tour, Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers running wild, and comeback after comeback after comeback after comeback. Thriller, chaos, etc., Sunday football had it all and it was bananas. Tuning into the last few closers in the morning and afternoon was something to remember. Philly and Tampa held on to their undefeated record while Cleveland handed supposed Super Bowl contender Packers their first loss. Houston falls to 0-3 with no line protection while the Chiefs avoided theirs despite how ugly Sunday Night was. The 49ers were nearly at a loss before their game-winning kicker was finally found, and he was EDDY PINIERO!!! There might be more I missed but a lot was happening that day. All-in-all, it was a good weekend of football.
Unfortunately, through all that smoke was James Conner with a horrific injury. Man, I was speechless seeing that in real time and I hope to God for his safe and speedy recovery🙏🏾
TEAMS CONSIDERED
15) BALTIMORE RAVENS (1-2)
14) PITTSBURGH STEELERS (2-1)
13) MINNESOTA VIKINGS (2-1)
12) ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-1)
11) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (2-1)
10) DETROIT LIONS (2-1)

The Lions dueled Baltimore for a while before taking control in the fourth quarter. The offense piled up over 200-rushing yards against Baltimore’s banged up defensive front. There was one drive in the second quarter where the Lions scored off 18 plays that took nearly 11 minutes from their own two-yard line. Detroit either lost to a good Packers team, or they might still be the Brand-New Lions that needed to figure themselves out first.
9) GREEN BAY PACKERS (2-1)

Green Bay should’ve expected a struggle in Cleveland, but not to this degree. The Dawg Pound was tough for all four quarters. Not having a healthy lineup mixed with youth showed on Green Bay’s offense, and Love was sacked five times throughout the game. He was also punished for throwing an interception that gave Cleveland hope, and a blocked field goal allowed Cleveland to come back and win. If Green Bay wants to be Super Bowl contenders, they must win those tough road games while overcoming adversity and stay aggressive doing it.
8) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (2-1)

Seattle demolished the woeful Saints. After the loss to the 49ers, they just looked dominant in the last five quarters, and their defense is hard to break past. Despite Jaxon Smith-Njigba being ill, he put on a show with 100-plus yards receiving. Seattle might be the team to look out for with a favorable 2025 schedule with Sam Darnold leading the charge.
7) SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (3-0)

The 49ers won, but not without paying the price once again. Nick Bosa sustained an ACL tear👎🏾 and Mac Jones suffered a knee injury but fought through it. What seemed like a chance to get away from their rival, Arizona, wasn’t so easy. Stopping Kyler Murray off big plays was an issue at times and penalties, including allowing a safety was detrimental. Like the first two weeks, they came through again. They’re 3-0 overcoming the number of injuries, but my God it’s hard to watch how it ends every time. They do have Jacksonville, and that team tends to let opportunities get away from them.
6) LOS ANGELES RAMS (2-1)

The Rams had some struggles but still managed to get up 26-7 on Philly and looked like the game was theirs. Unfortunately, they let this one get away from them. A couple of calls were questionable, but they still were unable to stop them. What’s worse was the back-to-back blocked field goals on their last two possessions of the game. No snow, but still no go to defeat Philly. Despite that bad ending, LA should still be alright.
5) LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (3-0)

Trying to win three straight division games to start out the season seems like a daunting task but accomplishing it would be so gratifying for the rest of the season moving forward. That’s what the Chargers did. It wasn’t easy against one of the best defenses and most hyped team in the NFL in Denver. They’re now alone at the top of their division with all three divisional wins to kick things off. Whoever was responsible for setting up the Chargers’ schedule that way should get a raise…by LA!
4) TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (3-0)

Tampa had this game in the bag being up 23-6, but they gave all that up and the Jets looked for a huge comeback and were nearly victorious. Tampa was once again on the heels of a loss and Baker once again put on his cape to lead this team to their third straight win. Tampa is 3-0 for the first time since 2005. 20 years later, watch out for them!
3) INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (3-0)

Indianapolis is looking for real right now. They took down an entertaining Cam Ward and Tennessee. Daniel Jones is Danny Dimes 2.0 and the Colts should consider keeping him for the long term if I were them. Tyler Warren’s also a dawg man. He’s becoming Shane Steichen’s dream come true in his offensive schemes and making it work. With Houston at 0-3 looking for answers on offense, the Colts are in comfortable control of their division…for now.
2) BUFFALO BILLS (3-0)

It was a close shave for Buffalo there. If it wasn’t for the punt interference penalty on Miami, it could’ve been a whole different story. Nonetheless, Buffalo survived the rivalry game on a short week. James Cook, Josh Allen, and Dalton Kincaid had one heck of a night as the triple threat. They’re 3-0 and looking for more.
1) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (3-0)

Eagles were down 26-7 at one point. But they fought back and won along with two blocked FGs to seal the deal. The first half meant nothing because all it matters was finishing the game. And how about Jordan Davis with that weight loss and still running as fast as he did like at the combine? The Eagles are still one of the best in the league until said otherwise.
