How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
There’s a multitude of failures I went through growing up. I felt like the black sheep of the family because my family around me were more successful or in a better spot than I. But if a series of natural disasters I’ve experienced throughout my life hasn’t killed me, then failures won’t stop me.
What’s success without failure? I learned more and more about it knowing that it’s not the end of the world. It’s like football. When you lose, you find out what was unsuccessful so you can practice it and make those adjustments for the next game and hope that leads to succession. I made those life adjustments to be better for the future. I learned that it’s ok to fail sometimes but also be humble when I do succeed.
