Here’s the good: Washington’s a good team, Houston, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta are winning, Baltimore’s a great offensive team, the NFC North as a whole is strong, and the Chargers are good with Jim Harbaugh.
As for the bad: the 49ers have an injury bug going around, the Jets are still the Jets, the Browns are STILL the Browns since the Super Bowl era, the NFC East outside of Washington is a joke, Detroit lost Aidan Hutchinson (wishing a speedy recovery🙏🏾), the Saints lost four straight after scoring 40 points twice in the first two weeks, the Broncos ruined everyone’s pick (including mine), and the Jaguars are flat out bad and can’t be trusted.
10) SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Injuries and special teams played a huge part in Thursday Night’s game. Then, it went from the 49ers dominating the first half to allowing another NFC West foe to come back in the second half. However, they survived and conquered one NFC West foe and won the turnover battle thanks to two rookie corners in Renardo Green and Malik Mustapha. San Fran’s now 3-0 when scoring 30 plus points. The team is strong, but injuries are their…Achilles heel. Let’s hope this doesn’t continue as they host the Chiefs after some extensive rest. Also, I sustained a headache from that game. Niner fans are vulnerable to injuries too!
9) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Washington didn’t have too much trouble with Baltimore despite the loss. They had opportunities, but it wasn’t enough to get over the hump on the road. Jayden Daniels didn’t have a bad game and knows there’s more room for growth. After six weeks, Washington is likely the best in the NFC East while the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles are in a world of hurt (with coaches on the hot seat).
8) BUFFALO BILLS

The Bills/Jets game was a drag, but Buffalo was aggressive from the start. Penalties and a missed field goal gave the Jets opportunities to come back before Buffalo shut them down. It wasn’t perfect by any means, but Josh Allen and company got the job done. Until Miami gets Tua back and the Jets find a way (if that even happens), the AFC East likely belongs to Buffalo again.
7) ATLANTA FALCONS

Something about the NFC South matchups is so dang odd. It looked like the Panthers could’ve upset the Falcons. Towards the end, Atlanta finally escaped after an interception turned the tables. Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson combined for 200 yards and three touchdowns. That win puts Atlanta on their first three-game winning streak since 2019.
6) HOUSTON TEXANS

Houston took advantage of an offensively inept Patriots that started rookie Drake Maye. CJ Stroud threw for three touchdowns to one interception, but the offense is very glad to have both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce back in the lineup. Both tore up New England’s defense for a combined 178 rushing yards and three total touchdowns (2 rush, 1 reception). Next up is the team right below.
5) GREEN BAY PACKERS

Green Bay had little trouble against the Cardinals. While Arizona showed some sort of threat after upsetting the 49ers, that didn’t stop Green Bay from attacking the field. Jordan Love tossed four touchdowns to lead this team to a 4-2 record in a stacked NFC North division.
4) BALTIMORE RAVENS

It looked like the Ravens had some trouble and could’ve been on red alert. But they realized they have Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry in the backfield. While Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman had a good day, Mark Andrews had a great day feeling like himself again. Despite the defense doing enough to keep Washington from tying and/or completing a comeback, that side is still having issues.
3) DETROIT LIONS

Detroit was the better team out the game. Whether it had anything to do with what happened last season, it doesn’t matter. Although, they did try a touchdown play with an offensive lineman again. Jared Goff and company carved Dallas’s short-handed defense while the other side kept Dak and CeeDee limited. However, Aidan Hutchinson’s injury left the NFL world speechless. Can Detroit keep the motor running without their best defensive player???
