If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?
If I had the option, it would be Jordan Michael. Funny story, my mom wanted to name me that since she loved watching him. I grew up as a sports fan, I love playing basketball, and I have good vertical jumps with “peacock arms” (I’ll talk about that one day).
Unfortunately, my dad refused to because his superior’s name was that and he was an a-hole to him during his time in the service. Instead, he gave me the name C. Jay as a conversation starter. I was also told my middle name came from one of my family members, which made me feel a tad better. The conversation starter part though was what made me 100% committed to my name. If I didn’t get the right reason for my first name before moving out, I would’ve sprung for the name change after.
My current name still hasn’t lost its fast ball and probably won’t even after my death, but it would’ve been nice to have the name similar to THE Living Legend, Michael Jordan!
