Yep, three times from what I recall. All on the same left arm. A dislocated thumb in elementary school during a dodgeball game, a fractured wrist in high school during football practice my sophomore year, and a fractured hand during a basketball game during my junior year when I dove for a loose ball and my hand was crunched between the ball and someone else battling for it. The thumb brace wasn’t all bad, but a full arm cast for a f***ing hand and wrist injury seemed a bit much. It’s understandable to some extent and at least none required surgery. However, I was out for the season for both. What was worse was trying to play video games or do something productive with one hand. Thank goodness I’m a righty. The only bright side was working on one-handed free throws during practice and on my own time. It actually helped keep my guided hand from altering my shot lol After those injuries, I vowed to never have another injury like that again and took steps to make my bones stronger and maintain my health. Injuries are a nightmare…
