BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

1) CLEVELAND BROWNS

Enjoy looking back on the 2023 season because it’s unlikely to repeat next season with what they’re up against starting with their own division. It’s also unknown if Deshaun Watson will be fully healthy and ready to lead Cleveland. It seems like forever since he was at full strength for a full season. This is his first ever stable professional offensive line in his career, and he has yet to take full advantage.

2) PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Philly could decline next season and it’s unclear if Jason Kelce will retire. He’s expected to be a free agent and the organization must look into a replacement for a center. Also, how the team looked last season, it’s pretty clear they’re not stabilized, which could cost them next season while Dallas is still in full form. Don’t forget that Hassan Reddick could end up elsewhere if the Eagles don’t plan to keep him through an entire 2024 season.

3) PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Honestly, I have no clue what to expect from Pittsburgh next season. Kenny Pickett’s supposed to be the guy, but it’s unclear if he will be long term based on the fanbase’s reaction. The offense looks like a shell of their former selves and it’s only a matter of time before the defense and special teams take a punishment too. Can Mike Tomlin hold this team together?

4) MIAMI DOLPHINS

Miami could still find their way back to the playoffs, but their showing against good teams last season puts their opportunity in doubt unless they make serious moves in the free agency to bulk up the trenches. The offense and defense must improve in that area and be more fearsome than finesse. Pass rushing and avoiding contact as a ball carrier won’t get a team far in any season.

5) TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Tampa Bay could likely win their fourth straight division next season if they re-sign both Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans. However, the organization must pay a pretty hefty amount to keep both and keeping one won’t guarantee a four-peat. Mike Evans needs a legit quarterback to lead the offense while Baker needs a legit pass catcher to help move the offense efficiently. If they can’t retain either one, they must aim for a legit free agent quarterback and/or receiver like Tee Higgins if he’s not with Cincy or Amari Cooper in a trade with Cleveland since he’s on his last year deal (just as an opinion).
