Last weekend was an upset-filled weekend, but nothing was bigger than the Bills win over Kansas City in such an ugly fashion. Patrick Mahomes and a few others may be heated about the call that happened, but it was the right call. Check the videos if said otherwise. Dallas gets a statement victory of Philly, but their schedule says they’re long ways from winning the division still. Things won’t be easy for Philly either. Their schedule lightens up, but looking at where they’re setup, they’ll likely see the 49ers or Cowboys in the divisional round in just a few weeks out. The NFC is down to a 3-way battle for the overall seed, and the 49ers clinched a playoff berth thanks to the Packers’ loss against the Giants (thanks New York!) while the rest are in a war for the NFC South title and the sixth and seventh wild card spot. As for the AFC, nothing’s locked and anything can happen in the last four weeks. If no one clinches a playoff berth by at least Week 16, it’ll be the greatest photo finish to the NFL regular season in football history. I don’t know if it happened before, but we all would love the placings to take place in the last week of the regular season. We’re talking Baltimore likely dropping from one seed to out while the Titans can go from 15th place to the playoffs and maybe win the division title in just four weeks. Can’t wait to see what happens this weekend and hopefully more playoff berths happen…or not lol
5) JETS AT DOLPHINS
10AM PT/1PM ET [CBS]

A few weeks ago, the Dolphins put a hurting to New York without much resistance. However, things might be different. While the Jets are coming in motivated after a big win over Houston, Miami was very shocked and beat up after a surprising loss to Tennessee on Monday. Both teams have injuries, but Miami suffered the worst from a physical Titans team. While both quarterbacks are healthy, some of the skills positions, defense, and offensive line are not. Since 2016, Miami won 12 of the last 15 meetings and are currently 7-0 at home during that span with Tua currently undefeated against the Jets. However, all but one home game during that span were decided by eight points or less. Let’s just say it’s likely to be close, but Miami should survive and sweep this matchup.
MY PICK: DOLPHINS
4) BRONCOS AT LIONS
5:15PM PT/8:15PM ET [NFL NETWORK ON SATURDAY]

Russell Wilson and Jared Goff meet for the 11th time in their careers, but this is the first on different teams with Goff having a 6-4 edge against Wilson. Both teams are in a good position for the playoffs, but some things are left to be desired. What I mean by that is that the Broncos have renewed energy on defense, but the offense is doing par work to get by. The Lions early this season looked like a serious threat to the NFC, but their defense was eventually exposed after CJ GJ sat out with an injury. The Lions are in a weird spot after losing two games in three weeks. History shows that each meeting at Detroit went back and forth in wins and losses between Detroit and Denver. However, Denver won the last three meetings in general and could have a slight advantage with their defense. Even then, if history is what it is at Detroit, I’ll favor the Lions to get out of their funk to win their 10th game of the season.
MY PICK: LIONS
3) RAVENS AT JAGUARS
5:20PM PT/8:20PM ET [NBC]

Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence meet up for the second straight season. The Jags edged the Ravens in the 4th quarter with a late run to a 28-27 victory last year. The matchup could be similar, but with a different situation. The Ravens have the roster to make a playoff run and Lamar Jackson’s looking every bit like an MVP caliber player. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are struggling at home. No clue why, but they’re not comfortable on home turf while Lawrence is battling through injuries to carry the team to the playoffs again. Their defense also hasn’t looked right since coming off the bye. Overall, they’re 0-4 when allowing 30 plus points. Since 2005, the Ravens are 1-4 at Jacksonville, but they scored over 20 points in Jacksonville for the first time since 2001, and the offense is capable of attacking the Jags’ defense. Since 2003, both teams went back and forth in wins and losses. The Ravens lost the last time, so I’m expecting the magic number to be over 20 in Jacksonville with a win.
MY PICK: RAVENS
2) EAGLES AT SEAHAWKS
5:15PM PT/8:15PM ET [ABC/ESPN ON MONDAY]

Would you believe this is Jalen Hurts’ first time playing against the Seahawks? Yep, it’s true. Philly looks to bounce back after back-to-back losses against the current Top 2 seeds in the NFC (49ers and Cowboys). The offense looked inconsistent, and fans vehemently pleaded to Coach Nick Sirianni and the Eagles to run the damn ball. It was the issue, but they were up against the score and a stingy defense that took away their strength. They look to play aggressive on the ground against a Seahawks defense that struggled in that category. Seattle lost four straight to the current Top 2 seeds too, and Pete Carroll has yet to accept that his team is in rebuild mode. Their defense failed to make enough stops when needed, and their offense at times lack fire power to overcome good to great defenses. Geno Smith is questionable, but Drew Lock is trustworthy enough to play similar. The offense needs more help from the ground game because they need to be more physical in the trenches. The Eagles lost seven straight meetings to Seattle, and there’s some leftover players from both sides during that span that includes Jamal Adams and Fletcher Cox. However, the last three meetings were decided by eight points or less while the Seahawks won by 11 or more in the last three meetings in Seattle. The Eagles aren’t great on the road but are in desperate need of wins. They could be in for a long Monday night, but the urgency will trigger them to perform well and win in what could be a close margin, high-scoring affair to stay alive for at least the division title.
MY PICK: EAGLES
1) COWBOYS AT BILLS
1:25PM PT/4:25PM ET [FOX]

The Bills are in for another classic Sunday afternoon game. They’re 1-1 against Philly and Kansas City by a six-point margin total. Josh Allen and company know they’re reeling on a playoff spot and it’s looking more difficult by the week in a compiled AFC conference. They escaped a loss against Kansas City thanks to the now infamous offensive offsides call. Can they play a more consistent game against a hot Dallas Cowboys? Dallas won five straight since their loss to Philly, which they avenged easily this past weekend. Everything goes through the three-headed monster of Dak Prescott, Tony Pollard, and CeeDee Lamb. Their defense are land sharks. When opposing offenses least expect it when making careless plays, they expose them and more with DaRon Bland lurking for a pick-6. Dallas isn’t great on the road and their wins and losses went back and forth at Buffalo since their first meeting in 1971. Dak Prescott’s also 0-1 against Josh Allen. Like Baltimore against Jacksonville, Dallas must score and score often if they want to overcome Buffalo’s defense. As much as Dallas needs this win more than Buffalo to stay alive for the division title, I’m choosing Buffalo to win this crucial matchup to stay alive for the playoffs.
