BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

I’m not really big on midseason evaluations, awards, statistics, and all of that. However, we’re slowly getting an idea of contenders and pretenders. We’re also getting an idea of the playoff contenders, the middle of the roads, and the ones who are…f***ed this season. I won’t go into details, but I have a list of teams who are in those three categories, with two sections each. Agree or disagree, but here are the outlooks of teams moving through midseason of the NFL. I wish I didn’t pick those damn Giants as a wild card team. I’m done listening to the media.

WE ARE SO…F***ED!!!

You are done. Finished. Fin! There’s no going back. No optimism and it’s frustrating. Evaluate the players and the team. Scout for quarterbacks or other positions needed for next season because there’s plenty of them. If you have high first rounders, awesome! Look forward to the offseason and watch some basketball. It’s here now.

You’re not out of it, but it’s also hard to believe they can get there. They stop at the fork and can’t decide which path is better. One path leads in the right direction to Point B. The other leads down the wrong path into despair. You do a U-turn on the right path, but it’s too late and it’s closed by the time you arrived. For the hopefuls, there’s limited time and space. Hurry before it’s too late! You’re sweating it out and hoping to God you make it to the right place at the right time by January.

Your team’s in the playoffs. It’s a celebration for a week or maybe two if you get the overall seed. One side’s grateful for making the playoffs while others are a little disappointed for how they arrived. Making the playoffs isn’t always bells and whistles and there are slip-ups here and there, but you’re here and have as much of a shot as anyone. Be lucky if you make the top two and steal the overall seed. At the end of the day, it always comes down to matchups, locations, and who’s available. As for those expected to be in, you shake off whatever dust and scuff you had, go on a run, and don’t look back. You knew you would be here and enjoy every second of it. If you made the overall seed, pop a bottle and enjoy for 24 hours before getting back out there and prepping for the challenges ahead.

  1. I dunno, man…it looks like Lamar Jackson might finally make the big dance.

    1. I really want to believe in Balty man, I really do. But after Orlando Brown went elsewhere, those injuries for Baltimore in the last two seasons made me hesitant. If they make it, I’ll root for them. I rather see them their than Cleveland.
