BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

Yes. 2004 – 2005 was probably the best year of my life. I started my freshmen year at Coleville High School. It was a great start to my time because I have so much opportunity to grow.

I moved around since I was one years old (born in California) because my dad traveled due to his military career. I haven’t stayed in one place for more than a year until I moved back to California. I moved around a few times, but I was in mostly one location or area for about 12 to 13 years of my life in that state. Once my dad planned to move again after I graduated middle school, I didn’t hesitate to go with him.

During those times at my high school, it was a small school in a very small neighborhood, but there was so much landscape ranging from mountains, to prairies, to rivers, to lakes, and forests. I felt like I was in the right place after some time acclimating to the area. The high school itself was huge on sports, which was also my heaven. At the time, there was no more than 70 to 80 students in total between freshmen and seniors. Everyone knew everyone within a short time and most of us learned to get along. It was a community within itself. I did well in school, got to play football, and even had opportunities for other things in the future. Unfortunately, it was cut short to nine months because my dad had to transfer again due to his job.

I won’t go into more detail, but it broke my heart. I accepted that I can’t go back and I’m currently content with my life and still pursuing for more, but if I wanted to go back to a certain year, it would be 2004-2005. Honestly, this would’ve been the best high school experience and it would’ve been nice to be the game changer there too. It is what it is though. If there’s a stone’s throw that I have my own children someday, I’ll make damn sure they live out their high school experience if they so choose too.
