NFC WEST

In a bizarre turn of events, the Seahawks are in first while the 49ers are in second. It hasn’t been an easy road since destroying the Cowboys, but they may have become complacent after the big win and the Browns, Vikings, and Bengals slugged them on the way to a bye. The trade for Chase Young could turn things around after the defensive line has looked anything but impressive. Seattle traded for Leonard Williams from the Giants to try and solidify middle part of their defensive line. As for the Rams and Cardinals, they may be left in the dust. L.A.’s searching for answers while Arizona’s looking like the worst team in football this season. Not sure if trading away Josh Dobbs was a good idea, but maybe they’re hoping Kyler Murray’s back on the field sometime soon.
NFC EAST

This weekend will provide us info on both Dallas and Philadelphia. The Eagles look like the best, but the offense still has questions with Jalen Hurts’ turnovers. It may be an anomaly for now, but any mistakes against Dallas’s defense will bite them. Dallas had issues with physicality, but their defense still knows who they are whether Trevon Diggs is there or not. They’re still the enforcers in the NFL, but let’s see if they can handle themselves against Philly. Washington’s not as bad as some assume, but the offensive line and defensive line has been anything but great. What’s worse is trading away both Montez Sweat and Chase Young from that line, leaving only the defensive tackles as the strength. It either helps or hurts them. We shall see. Otherwise, Sam Howell’s proven himself as the guy. New York’s had some ebb-and-flow, and plenty is ebb than flow. It’s hard to say if it’s over because they’ve shown in the past three weeks that they can still compete for the playoffs. But with so much ineptitude at the quarterback position without Daniel Jones and the offensive line failing to stay healthy, the ebb-and-flow turns into an ongoing turbulence in East New York.
NFC NORTH

We all know the NFC North division belongs to Detroit for right now. After Kirk Cousin’s injury, it’s looking more like the Lions’ division with only two months to go. The Vikings could be in the cellar alongside Green Bay and Chicago via Tom Grossi’s videos portraying those issues. Check it out! As much as I want to give all three hopes, I don’t see it happening. The loss of Kirk Cousins may be the football gods cursing them. The Packers have absolutely no answers and the coaching staff is the problem more than their quarterback. Chicago’s just Chicago. Don’t try reeling on them. They won’t be in unless the Montez Sweat somehow follows through in the second half of the season.
NFC SOUTH

The NFC South will have a photo finish outside of Carolina. The Falcons, Saints, and Buccaneers still have a shot for the division title. However, the Falcons have quarterback issues, the Saints have offensive issues although Taysom Hill, Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed are the guys for that side, and the Buccaneers have issues against good competition. There’s no clue who will win the division, but this may come down to those three battling each other for the title. Make no mistake, Carolina will be involved as spoilers in the NFC South.
