Rivalries, London game, rematches, and the battle of the 0-fors for the Broncos and Bears are highlights for Week 4. After seeing some surprises, some upsets, and one team singlehandedly annihilating another by 50 points, the NFL really is a game where anyone can beat anyone…except Minnesota, Chicago, Carolina, and one team that allowed 70 points (cough cough Broncos!). The Dolphins, Eagles, and 49ers are the remaining undefeated teams left, but they face rivals this weekend, so anything can happen. Also, expect good quarterback matchups between Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson, Mac Jones and Dak Prescott (to both extents), and Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen. Have a great weekend everyone!
5) BRONCOS AT BEARS
10AM PT/1PM ET [CBS]

Humor me when I say this. This is the Toilet Bowl for good reason. Despite both teams having quarterbacks, it has been anything but promising. The Broncos were supposed to have enough talent to compete for the playoffs while the Bears were the unanimous offseason winners in trades, pickups, and draft picks. Neither has lived up to their expectations and someone’s going to feel more pain with a loss (unless they both tie). In the last four meetings, this matchup was decided by three points or less. Out of this matchup, the Broncos have the most to gain despite being one of the most untrustworthy NFL teams.
MY PICK: BRONCOS
4) PATRIOTS AT COWBOYS
1:25PM PT/4:25PM ET [FOX]

The last time both teams met, it was a scoring affair between Dak and Mac. No defense handled the passing onslaught from both sides. However, this matchup’s likely different. Both defenses are solid and could create issues for both quarterbacks. Mac Jones has his offensive coordinator in Bill O’Brien. Mac’s resurgence as a passer makes him grateful to have Mr. O’Brien around while Mike McCarthy’s calling plays again to help Dak play efficient football. Sounds fine, but it’s a little sketchy when pressure is in the face of both quarterbacks. While both defenses dominate, someone on offense must break through. Which is why Dallas has a slight edge with Dak having more experience and having slightly better talent to move the ball consistently.
MY PICK: COWBOYS
3) RAVENS AT BROWNS
10AM PT/1PM ET [CBS]

This should be one of the better matchups of the weekend. Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson finally face each other in the NFL. Their last meeting was back in college in 2016. Watson is slowly looking like his old self again, but now is put in more of a position without Nick Chubb. Lamar Jackson had plenty of success against Cleveland in his career (6-1), but he must do without parts of his roster due to injuries again. Both defenses will make an impact, but Watson and Lamar are both capable of carving them out. If it wasn’t for the injuries across the Raven’s roster, I would feel more confident in their win opportunity.
MY PICK: BROWNS
2) LIONS AT PACKERS
5:15PM PT/8:15PM ET [PRIME VIDEO ON THURSDAY]

I could go over the information about this matchup, but there’s no reason to with this intense rivalry early in the game. This is for control of the NFC North division. No Aaron Rodgers, but Packer fans moved on completely to Jordan Love after a comeback win against the Saints. As for Detroit, this is a “prove-it” game for them. They have the offense and defense to compete for the division. Both are hampered with injuries in certain positions, and it could be a defensive struggle for both sides. I’m giving the edge to Detroit because Green Bay’s offensive line is out on the left side for both David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins. Aidan Hutchinson could be hunting from that side a lot.
MY PICK: LIONS
1) DOLPHINS AT BILLS
10AM PT/1PM ET [CBS]

Here is the matchup that should’ve been deserving of a swap for primetime. The last three games were the most entertaining to watch, and this one should be too. The Dolphin’s offense was unstoppable in two of their three games. If the opposing defense isn’t good enough, be ready to watch Miami’s fireworks for 60 game minutes. Tua Tagovailoa’s health is paramount to the team’s winning chances, but the weapons around him are as important too. The Bills bounced back from an unfortunate loss to the Jets by destroying the Raiders and the Commanders back-to-back. With Tua healthy, Miami has a chance, but the Bills’ defense is good enough to slow them down like New England did. It likely comes down to one possession and Miami may have the advantage to carve out Buffalo’s defense to win by a field goal.
