This division should be the toughest and most competitive division in the NFC and could rival the AFC East and AFC North too. Philly hopes to return to the Super Bowl to finish what they started. Drama in Big D surrounds Dak Prescott and coach Mike McCarthy and must come through to keep their jobs long-term. The Giants hope to return to the playoffs after Danny Dimes received a new contract. Washington is ready for a new start with their new quarterback and offensive coordinator.
NFC EAST

DALLAS COWBOYS
Drama surrounds Dallas once again, and all the pressure’s on Dak Prescott, Mike McCarthy, and the Cowboys to advance further past the divisional round. Jerry Jones expects less mistakes and better play-calling, but does that translate well for the offense? They know they have a good receiving corps and one of the best offensive lines, led by Zack Martin. The problem is depth at running back. If they think Tony Pollard, rookie Deuce Vaughn, and company carries the offense for 17 games with their size, more power to them. Defense should be one of the best in the league again as long as Micah Parsons is on the field. This roster’s formidable enough to win the division and they could win any of their matchups this season, including Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
The Eagles have aspirations for a Super Bowl return, but with so much change on defense, can they repeat? The offense should be as good as last year. They have Jalen Hurts back with more bank, depth at running back should still be solid and AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert leads a solid pass catching group. The issue is complacency for the roster, age, and durability of the offensive line. Let’s also hope Jalen Hurts’ great season wasn’t a one-time thing. The Eagles 2022 schedule was fair enough to get them to a divisional title, an NFC title, and nearly a Super Bowl win. Their schedule is this season is more difficult with the Chiefs, the AFC East, and the Vikings.
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Could Sam Howell be the quarterback to succeed alongside Kenny Pickett and Brock Purdy as the 2022 draft class? He was great for UNC despite the constant roster change for three seasons, but let’s see if it finally translates after the start in Week 18 and the preseason. He’ll have targets led by “Scary” Terry McLaurin. Running back Brian Robinson should have a potential breakout season next to Antonio Gibson. However, the offensive line must improve after acquiring Andrew Wylie (Kansas City). They allowed 40-plus sacks for the past six seasons and must not allow any more. The Commanders’ defense could be without Chase Young for a bit because of his neck injury. The rest of the defense should be fine, but staying healthy is paramount. Their schedule is a mix of winnable, 50/50, and challenging games. The offense must improve and hopefully Howell and Robinson come through under offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.
NEW YORK GIANTS
New York made it to the playoffs after some time, Saquon Barkley played the entire season without missing a lot of time, and Daniel Jones finally played very well when the team needed him most. The roster is balanced and nothing flashy from either side except Saquon Barkley and Kayvon Thibodeaux. But Brian Daboll and Wink Martindale operated the positions to compete with most opponents last season. However, their 2022 schedule was easy enough for them to make it to the playoffs and win one too. They defeated three teams with winning records (Ravens and Jaguars, Vikings in the playoffs). Their seven regular season losses were against teams with winning records. They play seven teams with a .500 record percentage or higher this season, including the Jets and Saints that should have an upgraded roster to win more games. Hopefully the Giants can repeat and defeat both the Eagles and Cowboys.
