BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

This is a continuation on the AFC side. Feel free to comment on your own takeaways from any team mentioned here.

AFC WEST

  • The Broncos need a new QB. They need A new QB!
  • Kudos to Brandon Staley’s aggressive style coaching, but jeers for being too aggressive. His questionable fourth down calls and bypassing potential field goals and extra points cost them the playoffs. Seriously, check the Chiefs/Chargers Round 2 game.

AFC EAST

  • The Jets couldn’t fly this season. Too many mechanical issues on offense that needs repairing.
  • The Dolphins went from a 7-game losing streak to a 7-game winning streak. Hope floated for Miami until the bubble burst in Nashville. And then there’s the staffing issue…

AFC NORTH

  • The Browns played like…the Browns…again. But the team can’t do any better without Baker Mayfield. Sorry, but that’s the hard truth Cleveland faithful.
  • The Ravens were a walking crutch. RBs, CBs, and QBs were all injured. Critical areas where they were most successful consistently in the past.

AFC SOUTH

  • The Texans should’ve accepted that Deshaun Watson wasn’t coming back and moved on. There’s hope for them in the AFC South though.
  • The Jaguars were supposed to be the clowns of the NFL. But…
  • The Colts were the real host of this divisional circus. The Eagles conditional draft pick (1st round pick) went through thanks to Carson Wentz following through on his snap percentage, and the Jaguars held their #1 draft pick while upsetting the Colts to eliminate them from the playoffs.
