BRACKET AND POWER RANKINGS

NFC DIVISION WINNERS

1) BUCCANEERS

2) PACKERS

Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers returns and the Green Bay community breathes a sigh of relief. Davante Adams also returns along with the illustrious return of Randall Cobb by trade from Houston, which makes Rodgers happy for now. There’s an interesting connection between Randall Cobb and rookie receiver Amari Rodgers. Rodgers’ father, Tee Martin, coached Cobb when he played for the University of Kentucky. It’s heavily debatable to put them above the Buccaneers for the overall seed because they have the pieces on both sides to contend for the Super Bowl. However, the defensive front must establish themselves against tougher competition.

3) RAMS

4) GIANTS

Saquon Barkley

I’m looking closely at the Giants and like their defense. I will keep an eye on how their offensive line handles things and what the offense will look like overall. Yes it’s only the preseason, but I must see progression from them whether Saquon Barkley is playing or not. Picking them or the Cowboys will be a tough choice to make.

COWBOYS

Cowboys vs. Steelers in Hall of Fame Game

Dak Prescott’s injury shouldn’t affect him from being ready for the season, but it comes down to their defense. They suffered many big plays and injuries hindered their chances of success. They did show some growth last week against the Steelers. They downgraded because I’m wary of Dak’s injury. Garrett Gilbert could be a decent replacement for the time being.
